OUR INTERLOCK INSTALLATION PROCESS
Installation typically involves several steps that are essential for ensuring the durability, stability, and aesthetic appeal of the final product. The specific steps involved in an installation may vary depending on the type of product being installed, but some general steps include:
Site preparation: The area where the product is to be installed needs to be cleared of any debris, vegetation, or other obstacles. The surface should also be properly graded and leveled to ensure proper drainage and prevent water buildup.
Base preparation: Depending on the product being installed, a suitable base material may need to be prepared and compacted to provide a stable foundation. This may involve the use of compacted subgrade material, aggregate base material, or other materials as needed.
Geotextile fabric: Woven geotextile (special fabric) main purpose is to separate the base from the sub base. It stops clay from migrating into the compacted gravel and eroding it over time.
Bedding material: A layer of bedding material such as sand or PBS (Premium Bedding Sand) will be added to the base to provide a level surface for the product to be installed on.
Installation of the product: The product is carefully installed according to the manufacturer’s specifications, ensuring proper alignment, spacing, and interlocking as needed.
Edging: Depending on the product, a suitable edging material may be installed around the perimeter to help keep the product in place and prevent spreading or shifting.
Finishing: The final step in the installation process involves finishing the surface by filling in any gaps between the product with polymeric sand or other materials as needed. This helps to improve stability and prevent movement or shifting over time.
